Name: Peter Wieland <wieland@scn.de>
Age: M 30
Mass: 85 kg
Size: 193 cm
Bikes: own design homebuilt Troll SWB; a Biegerad tricycle; a Flevo-style racer; 2 recumbent tandems (a prototype and a better one); Troll-3 tricycle; more at www.iai.fzk.de/~wieland/bikes.html
Rides: 5000 km/year. The maximum I have registered with my Troll recumbent was 7000 km in 1994, but then I still lived in Germany and the streets where mainly flat. Norway has a lot of ups and downs. The longest "one-day-trip" was the "The Great Trial of Strength", a 550 km bike race from Trondheim to Oslo.
Where: Oslo, Norway
Works: division Oil and Gas of Siemens
Likes: touring; hiking; skiing; climbing; cooking; playing the best game on this globe, "go"; betting on becoming a "Hardhausen" before he turns 31; building a pile of recumbent bikes; Confucius (551-479 BC) K'ung Ch'iu; www.iai.fzk.de/~wieland/personal.html (don't forget the music, especially classic)
Climbs: well, there are different scales, I'm a beginner and would estimate level 5 at the german scale. But on your scale probably a slug.
Crash: not surveyed
Beard: ... if YOU can convince my girl-friend, I could try, but YOU can't!
