At the RacesRecords and past eventsThe IHPVA is a sanctioning body for human-powered vehicles outside the UCI and USCF rules which govern conventional bicycle races. So racing and speed record attempts are a big part of what the IHPVA is all about. Also, the events are FUN. Going to an event, you will discover there really are other people into this scene. You no longer feel as isolated and weird after going to an International Human Powered Speed Championship. You see a hundred cool bikes and get charged up about the possibilities all over again.
Current IHPVA RecordsIHPVA The official IHPVA listing is maintained for us by HPVA.US HPRA = Human Powered Race AmericaThere can never be too many standards bodies so around 1997, a group in the US midwest launched its own racing series with its own rules and records keeping. (Commendably,) HPRA wanted to place more emphasis on practical vehicles so they have a "Super Street" class where riders have to be able to enter and exit vehicles unassisted. HPRA shares space on the recumbents.com site. Visit the HPRA Web Site for complete information including upcoming events and records.
