Scanned using an Apple scanner at 300 dpi from a polaroid photo.

This Varna was custom built for a middle aged lady as a town bike. She found it generated too much attention and subsequently sold it.

It came with Sachs 3 spd mechanicals and hub brakes. Both sides of the chain originally passed over a plastic rub block located where the idler is now. A pvc tube, not shown in the photo, separates the chains at the crossovers and keeps dirt off the rider's leg.

The frame is plated steel. Total weight is 14 kg.
