18th IHPSC, August 1992, Yreka, California

• Varna handcycle ridden by Doug Wight set world record for arm-powered 200 meter sprint in 14.55 seconds,  49.48 kph (30.75 mph).
• Varna handcycle ridden by Doug Wight set world record for arm-powered 25 mile TT in 1:18:05, 30.91 kph (19.21 mph).
• Varna unfaired tricycle ridden by Sam Whittingham posted 10.25 seconds in 200 meter sprint, 70.24 kph (43.65 mph).

Colorado Speed Challenge, September 1993

• Varna handcycle ridden by Doug Wight set world record for the arm-powered 200 meter sprint in 13.803 seconds, 52.17 kph (32.41 mph).
• Varna I faired bicycle ridden by Sam Whittingham posted 7.014 seconds in the 200 meter sprint, 102.65 kph (63.79 mph) to win the Colorado Speed Challenge against the world's fastest bikes, such as Gold Rush, Z prime, Moby, etc.
• Varna I faired bicycle ridden by Paul Buttemer set world record for the1 mile sprint in 60.765 seconds, 95.32 kph (59.24 mph).
• Varna I faired bicycle ridden by Sam Whittingham set unofficial world records (no wind measurement) for the 500 meter sprint in17.672 seconds, 101.86 kph (63.30 mph), and the1 km sprint in 36.139 seconds, 99.62 kph (61.91 mph).

20th IHPSC, August 1994, Eureka California

• Varna II faired bicycle ridden by Sam Whittingham took1st place in the 200 meter sprint.
• Varna I faired bicycle ridden by Paul Buttemer took 2nd place in the 200 meter sprint.

22nd IHPSC, August 1996, Las Vegas, Nevada

• Varna Mephisto faired bicycle ridden by SamWhittingham placed 1st place in the 200 meter sprint in 6.10 seconds, 118.03 kph (73.34 mph).
• Varna Orpheus faired bicycle ridden by Paul Buttemer placed 2nd in the 200 meter sprint in 6.30 seconds, 114.29 kph (71.02 mph)
• Varna Orpheus fiared bicycle ridden by Andrea Blaseki posted a 200 meter sprint time of 7.50 seconds, 96.00 kph (59.65 mph)
• Varna Orpheus faired bicycle ridden by Paul Buttemer placed 1st in the one hour TT, the "Last man out" race and the overall category
