On the BBC this morning - one European journalist found dead, two 
narrowly avoided kidnap.  Probably not good for your health by any 
mode of transport.

Whatever kind of workbike you need, I would hope.  If people 
outside the first world can't afford our workbikes, perhaps we 
should be licensing improved designs on reasonable terms?

I had a mail recently from a Chinese manufacturer you would never 
of heard of, turning out five million groupsets a year - all copies of 
the 1980's Shimano range, down to the stickers.  There's got to be 
a better way of working than that, both for them and for Shimano.  
Can't see the Chinese going for incompatible components that 
change every year though...
