Here is a bike designed by someone who obviously set out to disprove ONCE AND FOR ALL, that a recumbent rider cannot be a "head-firster" at the same time. Though, at a first glance, it may appear that all-prone position can be as efficient from pedal-pushing point of view as the supine, the collected wisdom of the 'bentfolk sez nay. For one, in this position one's lungs are burdened by the additional weight of the body. For another... well, I'm not so sure breathing in dust and whatnot from the tarmac does have any beneficial effects this side of a (supine ergo recumbent) coffin. Nice try, but no dice.
