European HPV Championships 1992 in München, Germany.

This easy-to- remember self-labeled Swiss gentelman constitutes a magnificent sample of these Magnificent Men and their Amazing Biking Machines, of whom and which this web is about. The machine in view is a dual- mode, convertible upright/ short- wheelbase recumbent bike, all stainless steel to boot! I.e. once the front boom, left- hand side toothed- belt transmission and the recumbent seat are removed, and a standard saddle fitted to the seat tube (now behind the seat), it turns into a small- wheel upright. I'm not sure what was the rationale behind that, but, obviously, it made sense to Mr. #109, the constructor. And not only has he fitted it with a rear suspension (all details extremely well made), but a front disk brake as well! A nice job, no doubt about it. I'm not sure how it fared on the circuit but, as long as the rider got his surge of adrenaline's worth of excitement....
