European HPV Championships 1992 in München, Germany.

I happened upon this gentleman in the wild-camping area just outside the walls of the Olympic Village 1972 compound, where the HPV races took place. Him and his customized, strengthened diamond frame bike with 3 extreme size plastic baskets permanently attached. The total volume capacity must have been around 1/5th of a cubic meter... a mind- boggling amount! All that, a padded child seat, and a makeshift foam front fairing, too! We could not communicate, therefore I never found out what he used the bike for, but, whatever it is, may the Continuing Graces of Excess Load Capacity be with him.

"Extremism in the face of cycle transportability is no vice."  (paraphrasing Barry Goldwater)
