European HPV Championships 1992 in München, Germany.

This was the first Leitra [Light Individual TRAnsport in a variety of Western languages] that I saw, right there in Münich, and I immediately fell in love with it. Instinctively I understood that here was someone who knew something about building lightweight dynamic structures --all these space- frame-y members--, adequate IOTTMCO design [Immediately Obvious To The Most Casual Observer], and who was not afraid to use that knowledge in practice.
Only later, after I met and befriended the designer Carl- Georg Rasmussen, did I find out that this was not one of his Leitras, but a "pirated" copy of sorts. A year earlier he visited Switzerland, and held a homebuilders' workshop there. A number of Leitras were built in this fashion. Apparently the builder of this unit saw one of these, and copied the design for his own one-off trike. The seat and front suspension parts were acquired from Rasmussen directly, but the frame, drivetrain and other details were of that Swiss builder's own implementation. Still, even if not all parts were like the original's, in general he stuck very close to the proven design.
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then let me tell you that Rasmussen's  Leitra  design, the only all- weather full- faired trike currently in production, and all 150+ of them built to date and running strong! deserves it all, and more.
