TOP GUN’s colours have been expanded to include blue and, for the first time, in steel!
For many years, IWC Schaffhausen has been exploring the fusion of colours and ceramic under the name “Colours of TOP GUN”. This sub-series is inspired by elements of the famous US Navy Strike Fighter Tactical Instructor Program, better known as “TOP GUN”, and features a case in ceramic. Now, IWC is adding a new colour to the collection and, for the first time, a steel case! This is the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Miramar from Schaffhausen!
IWC has a long history in aviation timing, having produced its first dedicated pilot’s watch in 1936. Fifty years later, IWC launched the ceramics world with the virtually scratch-proof Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar. Combine the two chapters and you get a resilient sub-collection inspired by the famous TOP GUN flight school. The result is high-tech zirconium oxide ceramic in a range of different shades. From Ink Black to Tahoe White, from Woodland Green and Mojave Beige to Ocean Blue, the collection offers a wealth of options.
